Un evento mondiale si terrà dal 19 Giugno al 2 Luglio nella zona che va da Eboli fino a Paestum e sono i III Campionati Mondiali per audiolesi di calcio a 11. Un evento importante di risonanza mondiale che porterà nelle zone del Cilento 24 delegazioni mondiali (16 maschili e 8 femminili) che si contenderanno il titolo di Campioni del Mondo 2016. Oltre seicento gli atleti presenti (in mille compreso staff e delegazione) e alloggeranno, per circa tre settimane, e sono previsti altresì cinquemila turisti stranieri che verranno a seguire le gesta dei propri atleti. Le squadre partecipanti hanno dovuto staccare la qualificazione attraverso una serie di partite di qualificazione, come accade, nelle più importanti competizioni continentali e mondiali per il calcio a 11.
La cerimonia di apertura si terrà a Paestum.
Un evento importante che darà risonanza a tutta la Provincia di Salerno che sarà al centro dell’attenzione mondiale per circa tre settimane. Tanto per far capire l’importanza dell’evento, la Rai trasmetterà tutte le gare della competizione e, sicuramente, quelle più importanti in diretta.

A world event will be held from June 19 to July 2 in the area from Eboli to Paestum and the III World Championships for football hearing impaired to 11. An important event with worldwide appeal which will take in areas of 24 world delegations (16 male and 8 female) who will compete for the title of World Champions of 2016. Over a thousand athletes will be present and will stay for about three weeks, but there are also five thousand foreign tourists who come to follow the exploits of its athletes. The participating teams had to pull the qualification through a series of qualifying matches, as happens in major continental and world competitions for football to 11.
